How to use ipkg

After you install ipkg, you need to update the software list that you can install on your device

DiskStation> ipkg update

To check if there are updates to installed packages you run ipkg upgrade. In the example below, all packages are updated. If a package needed to be updated, ipkg would download and install the new version

To install a package run ipkg install <package name>. It will download the required package and all of its dependencies
